Hi dancers!
One of the benefits of having a photographer boyfriend is that my Instagram feed is never short of great professional photos. We really love to collaborate on fun experimental photoshoots- in the past we’ve thrown around paint powder, and glitter, I’ve gotten my pointe shoes out in Notting Hill, and we’ve been kicked out of The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich!
I thought it might be fun to introduce a bit of a new series of posts where I can show you some of my favourite lesser-known spots in London. This first one is one of London’s best-kept secrets; the stunning panoramic views of the city from The Garden at 120 Fenchurch Street. It’s a roof garden on top of a city tower, and it seems that basically no one knows about it. Unlike many other popular places to see views of the city, which are expensive and busy, this is completely free and absolutely beautiful. There’s also a café/ restaurant.
Here are the photos we took that day- Jake took these and I actually edited them myself, which I’m very proud of. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that in 2020 I’m moving towards a more tonal aesthetic that feels a bit more me.
If you want to get some great professional photos taken of your own, Jake’s website is HERE and his Instagram is HERE.
In these photos I am wearing Bloch pointe shoes and tights, and Nike trainers in a couple of the shots, and the stripy dress is actually a charity shop find.
I hope you enjoyed these photos and let me know if you’ve visited this location (or if you’re planning to now that you know about it!)
Also don’t forget to follow my Twitter and Instagram for more regular content- my handle on both is @daretodanceblog .
Keep dancing,
Jessica x
